Macie Regan is too busy for much of a social life. College graduation is looming, her job prospects are grim, and she’s planning her best friend Lauren’s bachelorette party. Her only outlets are messages from Guy, her anonymous pen pal for the last four months. Macie needs to decide if she should meet Guy in person or let things stay as they are: safe and uninhibited. When Lauren decides on a joint bachelor-bachelorette party, she wants Macie to put past grudges aside to plan it with Macie’s least favorite person on the planet: Zac Sparks.

Zac Sparks has had his life planned out for him, and he’s totally okay with that. He’ll start working full-time for his father’s investment firm after graduation; eventually move up the ladder and one day take over the company. Everything is straight and narrow. Nothing requires too much thinking. But when he talks to his mystery girl on the Blind Friends app his best friend Ford and fiancée Lauren created, he lets himself be honest and open in a way he’s never been able to before. It helps him ignore the party planning with Macie Regan, who would rather slit his throat than have a civil conversation.

When Macie finds out Zac is the anonymous messenger, she realizes how wrong she’s been about him and decides to show him who she really is. Hopefully he’ll see that what he’s got right in front of him is exactly what he’s looking for on the other side of his screen.
