In Sydney's Puppy Fishing Game, Sydney wears a shark costume while Dad wears his lucky fishing hat with a trout extending through the hat. In this game Dad receives a point if he can cast the toy fish hooked to his fishing line and reel it back in before Sydney can catch it or Sydney receives a point if she can catch the fish before Dad reels it back. Dad puts his fishing skills against Sydney's speed and agility skills. Who do you think will prevail? The next morning Dad has a new toy for Sydney. It is a beautiful, brightly colored kite. Sydney, dressed in her favorite shirt that says, "Been There Chewed That," tries to learn how to fly the kite. Does Dad expect too much from Sydney, or can she fly a kite?

Beau Heidy has been a well-respected personal trainer in the Cincinnati, Ohio, area for over nineteen years. He adopted Sydney in 2002 when she was ten months old, and from that day, Sydney was his constant companion. Every work day for over ten years Sydney followed Beau out the front door to accompany him to the homes of the clients he trained. Sadly, Sydney passed away in February 2012, but her spirit lives on in Beau's series of books. She will not be forgotten. Beau lives in Moscow, Ohio, a small rural town southeast of Cincinnati along the Ohio River. He lives with his wife, Jane, who has worked with him on his books. They have two dogs and five outside cats.
