First published in 1915, this classic tale by Franz Kafka tells of Gregor Samsa, a traveling salesman lives a mundane, uneventful life. That is, until Gregor experienced an inexplicable metamorphosis into a large, monstrous insect-like creature. Gregor finds that he now has to endure a new and painful existence as a vermin and attempts to adjust to his new condition as he deals with being burdensome to his parents and sister, who are repulsed by the horrible, verminous creature Gregor has become.
