This book was haunting, although not written in the best way. I was moved to tears. Tabitha Suzuma managed to create lovable characters who go through socially disgusting issues and still manages to not make me feel queasy over the subject matter. Reminded me of Flowers in the Attic. A good read.

I read this book in one day, i couldn't put it down. I love a good taboo story, but this book was so much more than i expected it to be. Knowing was it is like to come from a home with an alcoholic parent, i could sympathise with the characters. I was drawn in by the love of a family trying to survive. This book brought me to tears, one of the best reads I've had in a long time.

This book is so good that it hurts especially after the ending I cried felt utterly devastated and heart broken. Definitely the best book I've read. The cast is lovable and I could easily sympathise with every one of them. At the end I only hated one character who was the sole reason for everyone of thier problems. Lastly, I surely would have wanted a better ending but it's how it is so I can't complain and definitely it's a must read but not everyone can understand or comprehend
