Rarely do the In Death novellas match up to the novels, but this is pretty close. My only complaint is that the resolution to the case happens too fast, with not enough detective work to explain it. Still, by novella standards, this is a good story. Just not on the same level as the novels.

I look forward to reading all the books in this series so hooked and these little ones are great for in between the bigger stories. Recommend to everyone for a great read they have everything in one book. Amazing, amazing, amazing.

As with all J.D. Robbs books, this is a great story. A long forgotten twin reappears to kidnap her sisters children and cruelly executes anyone who stands in her way. She wants revenge on the sister who she blames for the death of their parents. EVE and her team save the kids after clever work on the case.

Nora Roberts published her first novel using the pseudonym J.D. Robb in 1995, introducing to readers the tough as nails but emotionally damaged homicide cop Eve Dallas and billionaire Irish rogue, Roarke.
