โTales and Fantasiesโ is a short story collection by much-loved Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson. Published posthumously in 1905, the collection included the farcical โThe Misadventures of John Nicholsonโ, the supernatural โThe Body Snatcherโ and the moralistic โThe Story of a Lieโ. A humorous, charming collection from the famous โTreasure Islandโ author. Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) was a Scottish novelist, poet, and essayist. Born and educated in Edinburgh, Stevenson suffered from severe ill-health, but travelled widely despite this, spending time in London, America, and France before settling eventually in Samoa. He is best known for his novels โTreasure Islandโ and โThe Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hydeโ as well as his much-loved volume of childrenโs poetry โA Childโs Garden of Versesโ. He died in Samoa in 1894 at the age of 44.
