The short stories that focus on the Watership rabbits are really interesting. I could have done without the folktales in part one and two, however. I would have preferred more tales about the brothers and their warren. Decent read, but not a favorite.

While not a traditional story, i.e. beginning, middle, end, but rather an almost, aboriginal style of storytelling that adds to a greater whole, already known. Much like Tolkien's appendices, Tales adds to the main story and perhaps fleshes out the background with more of the stuff that couldn't fit in the first time. A good read for those who loved Watership Down.
