Taming The Shrewd: Enemies to Lovers Romance

I received this as an ARC in return for an honest review. As always Z.L. Arkadie does not disappoint. The story is smooth and enthralling. I also like how characters from the previous Love in the USA series are incorporated in the book. Elaine has a take no prisoner’s attitude when it comes to business and her outlook on life. She has always felt that she has to prove herself. No man can “tame” her until Zach. Zach is all business and no time for relationships. Do you believe in love at first sight? Well neither did Elaine or Zach until they met….suddenly both their plans went right out the window. There are some unexpected twists, but no spoilers here, you will just have to read this great book to find out all about it. Can’t wait for the next book!!

Her writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole of each story. You truly feel as though you are living among the characters, fighting their fight, a part of their world. Great character development, steamy sex scenes and enough of the everyday grind to really be able to sink into the book.

This book really touched me, there are so many people out there like Elaine who have this armoured shell that they've built up over the years that they struggle to break down and show their true self. Zach sees through the exterior straight away and with his help Elaine becomes the person she was always meant to be. Yet again Arkadie manages to get you to fall in love with the characters, making you root for their love for each other from the start! The journey they are about to embark on together have a few hurdles to overcome. A bit of murder and corporate espionage to name a few, which will have you at the edge of your seat from the first chapter. This book would be better enjoyed if you started at the beginning of the LOVE in the USA series as all of the characters are intertwined which is one of the reasons I love this author and her books.
