I usually read Kate Pearce's contemporary and historical books which I enjoy. This quick paced paranormal offering was a pleasant surprise. Fearing reprisal from her father Nant attends the Witches' Ball, though she is loath to attend. Just biding her time at the ball to make her escape, she instead meets Taranis. She may not have been looking for a match, but fate has other plans.

Fun, unique and interesting story. This temptress is bold and knows exactly what she wants which was entertaining for me and challenging for him. I think they are well matched, regardless of their paranormal status or happenstance, they still have desires and dreams of companionship and affection. Enjoyed reading how they work it all out. I received a free copy and voluntarily chose to leave this review.

This was an interesting quick read. Nant was used to being on her own though she had started to feel lonely. With an ultimatum from her father, she attended a ball and met the intriguing Taranis. He was very persistent in getting to spend time with Nant. With a couple misunderstandings and a little secret, the journey was a bit bumpy, but they realized the truth about their feelings. I enjoyed it. This is my unsolicited review.
