About this ebook

This duke will chance anything…except his heart.

The Duke of Durham, better known as the Duke of Chance, is an unrepentant rake, a gambler, a club owner, and an all-around sinner. Which is why, taking over the gaming hell, the Den of Sins, suits him perfectly. And while he knows he'll have to marry at some point, he looks upon the institution the way some might consider having a tooth extracted. The act is to be avoided until the last possible moment. But when an opportunity falls into his lap to have the best of both worlds, marriage and freedom, it's an offer he can't refuse.

She's loved Chance forever…

How could Lady Daisy Longrove forget her childhood infatuation? He's her brother's best friend, after all. The handsome and powerful duke has never seen her as anything but a little girl. That is until she finally sets her silly girlhood fancy aside and falls in love with another man, one who also happens to be a rake. All right, perhaps she has a type. But when the Earl of Edgemere doesn't keep his promise of marriage, she's all but ruined. That's when Chance makes her an offer. He'll save her by marrying her, if she'll provide him with an heir and then allow him the freedom to do as he chooses.

It's an offer she likely can't refuse.

But all those feelings she'd thought she'd forgotten long ago? They're back with a vengeance. How can she be his wife when she's in love with him, knowing he'll never return her feelings?

There in only one answer. Daisy has to find a way to break down the high walls he's constructed around his heart. Can she convince this duke to take a chance on love?

Duke Of Chance is an awesome historical romance by Tammy Andresen. This is a quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ms. Andresen has delivered a well-written book populated with a great cast of characters. Chance is the Duke of Danesbury and co-owner of the Den of Sins, a gaming hell. Daisy has been disgraced and faces ruin when her brother's best friend steps up to save her reputation by marrying her. Daisy and Chance's story is loaded with drama, humor, spice and action. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to my next book by Tammy Andresen. Duke Of Chance is book 16 of the Lords of Scandal Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This series has been one of my favorites from the beginning! Who does not love a Scandalous Lord? Especially when they are redeemed and find that special love, usually unexpectedly! Combine that with the fabulous writing of Tammy Andresen and one can never go wrong! Owner of a gambling den, with several others, the Duke of Danbury gets his nickname Duke of Chance, honestly. Enjoying his rakish lifestyle, he has put off the marriage mart, until his best friend's sister seems to need his rescue. He just has to let her know how life with him will be! She has adored him since childhood, but when she lands in trouble and he rescues her, can she convince him to have a true loving marriage with her? Simply fabulous!

I have really enjoyed this series so far, and look forward to reading about the rest of the Scandalous Lords. Chance, politely known as the Duke of Danesbury, has no intention of ever giving his heart again. Once was enough. However, he will protect his best friend's little sister from being ruined. Lady Daisy has always had a soft spot for Chance, despite his reputation, and when she finds herself thoroughly disgraced, she quickly accepts Chance's proposal. Although marriage to Chance means they both win, each harbors doubts and concerns about the other. To Chance's surprise, Daisy is no longer the naive little one he has always envisioned but has grown up with a good deal of common sense, in spite of her generous and giving nature. He quickly realizes that for their relationship to be successful, he needs to give Daisy the right to make her own choices, even if it means losing her. This novel is a standalone and comes to a joy-filled conclusion. I received a copy of this romance as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
