About the author

Dr. Tanmoy Deb obtained B.E. (NIT gold medalist), M.Tech (Power Systems), M.Tech (Control & Instrumentation), MBA, M.Phil (Management) and PhD (EE). He has authored 5 textbooks, 51 research papers and 10 articles in refereed journals and magazines. He is member of 12 professional societies and was honorary secretary of Indian Institution of Industrial Engineers, Delhi chapter (2006-07 and 2007-08). He was awarded silver medal by managing director (Whirlpool Corporation) in 1998. He has 33 years of experience in teaching, research and industry. He is also an avid HAM (Radio Amateur) with radio call sign VU2TDV.
