Nicole's Book Musings
This one had me laughing through out the book. It had me right from the start and never let me up for air until the least word was read. I'm going to be honest I was a little iffy about Reid in the beginning, but he soon showed why he is book boyfriend material. One of the best examples is how he is with his grandmother. That melts my heart. Reid and Callie may start off as enemies, but there is no denying the attraction that keeps pulling these two together. It's not all smooth sailing for these two it never is, but can they a way to have a future? I loved the end because Boldt and Blackwood did such an amazing job on giving Reid and Callie what they so deserved for an ending.

4.5 Lovestruck Stars! I loved this hilarious and heartfelt, enemies to lovers romance. Reid was blindsided when he was passed up for a promotion that was given to newcomer, Callie. He knew he was more qualified and reluctantly agreed to help her learn the ropes. When he discovered her secrets, all bets were off. Callie worked hard for this job and had her own reasons for taking it. The tension between the two grew into fiery sparks that couldn't be denied. But what could go wrong with a non fraternization policy and both wanting the same position? I really think these authors make a great team! This story is so well crafted and seamless that you can't even tell there are two different writers. They have created a multifaceted romance with two wonderful characters, witty banter, and lots of fiery passion. I really loved both Reid and Callie and cheered for their HEA from start to finish. This fast paced story is filled with hilarious and embarrassing predicaments but is also heartwarming, sweet, and super hot & sexy. I definitely recommend this must read romance!

Happily Ever Chapter
4-1/2 Stars! Snarky, Smart, Entertaining and Just Plain FUN! ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ FOUR & 1/2 - STAR ✩ REVIEW ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ > > Judging a Book by it's Cover < < A male model dressed in a blue t-shirt and jeans in front of a blue backdrop take up most of the cover. Dual font title pops against the royal tee. I did not pick this up for its cover but, rather, because I've enjoyed previous titles by each of these authors. > > Looking Deeper < < POV ~> Alternating first-person, clearly defined, easy to follow. Reid had been working at ON TAP for five years when the position of Bar Manager became available. He figured he stood a good chance at getting the promotion and knew he'd worked hard to prove himself capable. However, when his boss brought in Callie, he was resentful and determined to prove she did not belong there. Callie needed a job fast. Fresh out of business school, she embellished her resume to secure the position at On Tap in order to keep from having to work at her parents' firm. She had no idea that the hot lead bartender was vying for the position before she arrived. And she had no idea just how quickly he'd uncovered her biggest secret. This story could not quite be called an enemies-to-lovers trope, but it definitely was a competitors-to-lovers story. The attraction between them was strong from the start although they outwardly fought one another at every step. The characters themselves were rich and complex. The plot was dynamic and filled with content that spanned many of the emotions, providing a full and satiating experience. Hot sexiness was moderately supplied. There were complications to their relationship from the get-go but they handled MOST of it in a mature manner. The rest was resolved in a timely manner in the best way they could. Predictability was low. The conclusion was solid enough to appease the "HEA" readers with no cliffhanger. All in all, while there was a lot of bantering and snark between Reid and Callie, this was NOT so drama- or angst-laden where it would feel annoying. It was a solid RomCom and I'd highly recommend it. .
