This book was hilarious!! It's the story of a woman desperately seeking love, stability, and a settled life. She though she had it while striving to be the perfect suburban housewife. That is until her husband leaves divorce papers, cleans out their bank account, and embezzles money from his family's business. What happens after that is a wild crazy ride that shows Cynthia what true friendship, love, and happiness truly is. This book is wonderfully written, the humor is laugh out loud worthy and they characters are unforgettable. I think everyone will enjoy this one and I definitely recommend it.

Tara Sivec is a surprise. I was taken in by her ridiculously on point sense of humor in one of her novellas. I fell into her fandom because of the Eye Candy anthology. I enjoyed it. I smirked and I added a bunch of her books to my TBR. But as most things on my TBR, her books got buried in the ever growing numbers. Until I saw a teaser for At the Stroke of Midnight... The Naughty Princess Club has more than just a smirk inducing name going for them. These chicks, these badasses at heart, are the key to the world. Or at least the key to Tara Sivec opening your eyes! This wildly ridiculous, yet charmingly awesome book is filled with "did that just happen" moments, sailor talking princesses, and enough hormones to make teenagers run and hide. Did I mention there's also the presence of a teenager who eats people's soul for entertainment? Silly me for forgetting that nugget. At the Stroke of Midnight is everything a princess could want in a romance book. It's full of handsy jerks, men behaving badly, a gorgeous hot business owner who makes women think "men climbing should be an Olympic sport". It also has a cast of characters that are bound to give you a headache from the whiplash, a case of heartburn from the worry, and a hangover in solidarity. What more could a girl need!?! Oh you want more? Don't worry I can guarantee that the author has to write at least two more before she can risk being kidnapped and held hostage by wild men...right, Ms. Sivec?

This book was so much fun!!!! Seriously, female empowerment by joining together with complete opposites and learning to strip - weird eh? But it so works, and while it has a kinda chick-lit vibe, it has a bit more edge, a bit more sexy, and a lot more romance. Cynthia, has well, been Cynthia forever. She thought that is what she wanted, but it was what she needed. She finds out she likes being Cindy, she loves being Cin, and she takes control of her life. Her transformation has crazy moments, sad moments, zany moments, but mostly, confident moments. She moves forward, never looking back, and while it sometimes takes her a bit to get over those speed bumps, once she is over them, she is so over them And PJ, well, PJ is exactly who he should be for our emerging sexy princess. He sees her, he knows her, and he is there for her, even when she doesn't get it. His buddies, Beast and Eric Sailor, are the perfect matches for Cindy's fellow naughty princesses Isabelle and Ariel, and I can't wait for their happily-ever-afters!
