Turning, I began heading back towards the private room. Denise picked up the book and followed close behind. I felt a mix of joy and sadness as we traversed the length of the ink shop.

I was happy that I’d finally be completing the symbol of my transformation. But, at the same time, it was bittersweet. I’d come to appreciate the men of this place and the changes they’d help me make in my life.

Completing “Sexual Wonder” would bring that to a close. However, there was still tonight left to savor and I would savor it. I’d enjoy every last drop of the ink as it penetrated me and colored not only my skin, but my soul and spirit.
