About this ebook

Fed up with her disheartening life in New York City, Mia takes a gamble and embarks on an invigorating journey abroad to business school in Spain.

When Mia Fuentes moves to Spain for graduate school, desperately trying to leave her past behind, the last thing she ever imagined was getting involved with Leo Durant, the hottest and most sought after guy on campus.

Leo is sexy, confident, and has the ultimate bad boy reputation. Something about him keeps pulling her in, when she knows she should be staying far away in the secluded world she has built for herself. Will she be able to overcome her fears and inner struggles that have brought her here? Or will Leo be able to teach her something about love and that not everything in life happens the way we expect?

Contemporary, multicultural, and deeply moving, this is the story of a young woman’s trials and tribulations of leaving everything behind and trying to create a new life for herself in a foreign country. It is a relentless journey of self-exploration, healing, and maturity, with a lot of romance, wit and humor.

This was a good quick read. I didn't like that they spent so much time broken up. Especially over something so simple. When Mia finally stopped acting like a brat and revealed her secret I was glad but felt like they could have crossed that hurdle a couple chapters age. By the end I was pleased again

I liked the book and I loved Leo. He was sweet, smart, generous, honest. But I did not agree with her decisions, because she had choices. Of course she did not want to tell Leo about her past. I do believe she had to feel miserable for what she did. She could have gone back to her family, as she had an excellent relationship with all of them. And she needed no money, because if she did, she was not going to travel to all the exotic places she went with her family.

I spent less than 24 hours reading this. That is how fixated I was to Mia and Leo. They are so good together. My only one complaint is that there were many Spanish phrases & sentences in this book that didn't have their meanings explained. I don't know Spanish. All my knowledge comes from those kid shows my cousins used to watch. I am still in a lovey-dovey haze from this book. I realised only at the end that Max was Leo's older brother... Is there going to be a book on Nico?
