I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and I also purchased a copy. I just LOVE this series. The alpha K-9 men along with their dogs are federal agents. The series follows the group as they meet their significant others. The stories are just filled with suspense and intrigue while we watch the characters also fall in love. The plot of this story just grabbed me right from the beginning. Eric Miller is a special agent with the ATF. He stops a young man driving a truck on the road. In the back of the truck, are several drums. During the arrest, Tiger, Eric's K-9, alerts Eric to presence of a chemical. Tiger has been trained to alert to chemical agents used to build bombs. Jesse's, sister comes to bail him out. Eric comes face-to-face with Tess McTavish again. They had previously met (in the prior story). Eric knew that Tess was a special woman then and he was committed to never marry as he is so determined to track down a heinous man so he left. Eric is seeking revenge against the murder of three of his best friends who he went to law enforcement school with. Eric has a feeling as to who is behind the transporting of the fertilizer, Harley Gant. The same man who is behind his best friends murder. When he questions Tess and Jesse if they know Gant, both deny any knowledge of the man. Unbeknownst to Eric, Gant is their step-father. What follows is a fast paced intrigue. In the various events throughout the book, Eric and Tess stop denying their feelings for each other. Tess is just so afraid that Eric will turn away from her once the truth of her past is revealed. I adored reading this book. It is written in my favorite dual POV format. Seeing into the characters' thoughts really humanized them and drew me closer to them. The plot was very well written. I could picture the scenes as if I was watching a movie. This is a spicy book so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under the age of 18. This is not erotica by any means but it may offend some who prefer just reading clean romances. While this book is a part of the series and the men all appear in the books, this can be read as a stand-alone. I would highly recommend starting at the beginning though as the first two books were just as fabulously written as well.

When ATF Special Agent Eric Miller and his explosives detecting K-9, pull over a truck full of explosive content, he shocked to discover that the driver is the kid brother of the woman he left behind and who still haunts his days and his nights. Tess McTavish never forget the handsome, dangerous agent who vanished in a shroud of mystery but the last thing she needs is an ATF agent with his own agenda, because even though Tess and her brother are innocent, if Eric learns the truth of their past, they will never be free. This ‘Federal K-9 story is an engaging and extremely suspenseful read that keeps readers biting their nails and gasping in surprise. The characters are strong, bold and easily draw readers into their story and the chemistry between the hero and the heroine oozes lots of electrical energy from the pages. The relationship however hanging on to edge of a cliff with every possibility of a crash landing as secrets and drive for revenge threaten to keep Eric and Tess apart. The fast paced plot not only has a suspenseful romance but the entire story is full of thrilling suspense, adrenaline pumping excitement and surprising twist that keeps readers glued to the pages as the connection between Tess and the man Eric holds responsible for a deadly explosion becomes apparent. And readers have no choice but to acknowledge the heroic efforts of the very special Tiger as even he tries his best to help Eric in falling in love with and protecting Tess and her brother in this dangerously exciting romance.

If I could give this book a 10 star rating I would. We are back with the K-9 group of officers who with their brave and wonderful dogs, fight for justice . This time the story belongs to ATF Special Agent Eric Miller, his dog Tiger and Tess McTavish. A woman he’s been avoiding because of his attraction to her. She has secrets and he has an agenda to catch the person responsible for the deaths of his friends. Fate brings them back together when Tess’s brother , a boy she hasn’t seen in 10 years, reaches out to her. when he’s in trouble. The story is filled with action , bad guys, half-truths, and an attraction that can’t be denied. It’s also a story about how our childhood does in fact molds us as adults. Scars remain, as do the fears from long ago. At times heart wrenching as your heart feels crushed and beating fast, not only because of the action, but also because these two have had to overcome so very much not only individually but also together. Can they overcome the danger that surrounds them as well as the mistrust and fears of being hurt emotionally? Once again, the author excels in her storytelling. Can’t wait to see what else the author has in store for us. Hopefully it will beDayne’s story. I was entrusted this copy by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing. The opinions expressed are soley my own.
