Brilliant. Typically Discworld with it's strong characters, observant humour and the story consistently picks up pace throughout. If you're a Pratchett fan and haven't read this yet get on it now. (btw, I've seen reviews of Pratchett's books on here that mention issues with the footnotes being at the end of the book and having to flick back and forth. Just tap the footnote number on the page, it takes you to the correct note and doing the same takes you back again.)

One of the best Pratchett books and that's really saying something. The story follows Lobsang, an apprentice to the history monks and Susan, death's granddaughter. Lobsang is cheeky and surprisingly advanced in his time-manipulation abilities. The elder monks see the perfect solution to remove his disruptive influence from their classes by apprenticing him to "The Sweeper" Lu Tze. Meanwhile Lu Tze, the venerable one with street cred, suspects trouble brewing in the time continuum that will center in Ankh Morpork. While mentor and apprentice make their way to the great city, Susan is proving to be a surprisingly talented teacher. There are plenty of great side characters we know well like Death, Death of Rats and Nanny Ogg. The only negative I can think of is that the complexity of the story requires plenty of concentration from even advanced English readers. This book is satire at its best. Great characters, great insights into human nature and an exciting and satisfying adventure.
