About this ebook

A smoking hot second chance enemies to lovers homecoming romp with dirty limericks, meddling families, and a surprise ending that will have you laughing and crying all the way to the HEA.

Enemies since law school, Jarrod O’Neill and Lexi Grace have fought in and out of the courtroom for years. That’s not about to stop when they run into each other at her sister’s wedding – in Prairie. Until a war of wits and whisky leads to high stake shenanigans in the bedroom.

But arrogant alphas never change their spots – especially when they’ve never even ridden a horse. A lesson Lexi learns again when she discovers corporate interests threatening her hometown - and Jarrod representing them.

While their battle escalates in public, Lexi and Jarrod can’t seem to keep their hands off each other in private. But when someone threatens Lexi, will Jarrod be able to mend fences in time to protect the enemy he’s fallen for?

I’m a recent devotee to Tessa Layne’s books, having read the Case Series (which I fell in love with ). This is my first book in the Prairie Series and I’m hooked. As this is the ninth book, I feel like a have to go back and read them in order to fully appreciate all the characters and families mentioned in this book. It’s like a family reunion. So much love, so much loyalty, so many family ties. Lexi and Jarrods story is full of rivalry, sexual tension, passion and those steamy sex scenes I’ve come to love in Tessa’s books. Their fight for the local Mayor’s job is a balls out match with neither side giving an inch (while still getting quite a few inches ) and brings the whole town together. I would love to live in a town like this ❤️(and meet me a cowboy like theirs). I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved every single page of Prairie Bliss!! I couldn’t swipe the pages fast enough, but at the same time, I didn’t want it to end. The characters were well developed and the plot kept me guessing. All’s fair in love and war…. Watching Lexi and Jarrod battle it out in D.C, in the courtroom, and then back in Prairie was beyond fascinating. Lexi is as stubborn as they come. Jarrod hates to lose, no matter the price. Then there’s the ending...I never saw it coming!!! I seriously can’t wait for more of Jarrod and Lexi’s story. November can’t get here fast enough!!!

I realized while reading Prairie Bliss that I had missed a couple or three books in the series. This book made me want to go back and read them. I thought it was so interesting how Jarrod o OK to Prairie. I was wondering about what he was going to do when it came out that he was running against Alexis for mayor. Jarrod and Alexis' relationship was combustible. The chemistry, the conversations, the competition, the romance, were all majorly intense. Behind all of that was a vulnerability they shared. Ultimately determining they had each others backs no matter what happened. One of the best parts of the book were the surprises toward the end. Completely caught me off guard. A book full of family, friends, love, loyalty, and support. No worries, Alexis and Jarrod do get their HEA. I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy received from Booksprout.
