I've been waiting for this book since Chance and Maci were first introduced to the series. That much fire between them pretty much guaranteed some fireworks., and of course, Janie Crouch delivered. These two have great chemistry, and it was interesting waiting for them to get out of their own way. The romance is every bit as good as I expect from this author, and we get some heart-pounding danger to go along with the fire between Chance and Maci. As good as the romance and suspense are in this whole series, my favorite part is the Patterson family and al;l the feels that go along with them. Janie has a way with characters and bringing them to life, and that talent shines in this series. Each book is a standalone, but I'd recommend reading them all. You won't want to miss this wonderful family and the bonds between them.

Excellent story. The ride has been full of excitement, danger and full of love. I know what it is like to have foster children. My husband and I had four of our own. Then we also had different children we took in and helped them. We still see our foster kids and grand kids too. It is so much fun to have a house full of laughter and love. I loved the way the author set the story with them taking in the boys. I enjoyed this series so very much. I received a complimentary review copy of the book an

I have badly wanted to know more about what was going on between Chance and Maci from the moment she joined the Patterson team. I never expected anything like the events of this book to be what it would take to make the pair of them admit their feelings, though. This was a rollercoaster thrill ride as Chance and his brothers chased a stalker, made all the more nerve-wracking when Maci became part of the chase. I’m rather proud of myself for identifying the villain before Patterson Security, but
