About this eBook

Glinda Bakery thought she had it all: a successful career, a cozy apartment, and a bright future. But when her aunt Louise dies in a freak accident in an industrial mixer, she inherits the Bakery Cakery, a charming bakery in the sleepy village of Carwinder Hole.

Glinda takes a break from her hectic corporate life, risking her chance for a lucrative promotion, and goes to the village to sort out her aunt’s affairs. She soon discovers that there is more to running the Bakery Cakery than she expected and has doubts about being able to continue providing the delicious treats the Bakery Cakery is famous for.

In Carwinder Hole, Glinda meets Bruno Gooltree, a hunky furniture maker with supernatural connections and Officer Newt Blake, a stubborn and skeptical cop who is convinced that there is more to Louise’s death than meets the eye. Officer Blake is not convinced that it was an accident and although he tries to find evidence of something more sinister, his partner, Detective Lina Lalonde, is frustrated that he keeps pursuing things that don’t exist. When the police investigate a seemingly unrelated incident, evidence is uncovered of an affair and secrets that make the circumstances surrounding Louise’s accident appear far more suspicious.

Will they be able to solve the mystery and save the Bakery Cakery?
