About this eBook

Fan favorite couple Rhage and Mary return in this gripping novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

Nothing is as it used to be for the Black Dagger Brotherhood. The slayers of the Lessening Society are stronger than ever, preying on human weakness to acquire more money, more weapons, more power. But as the Brotherhood readies for an all-out attack on them, one of their own fights a battle within himself...

For Rhage—the Brother with the biggest appetites, but also the biggest heart—life was supposed to be perfect. Or at the very least, perfectly enjoyable. But he can’t understand or control the panic and insecurity that plague him. Terrified, he must reassess his priorities after suffering a mortal injury. And the answer, when it comes to him, rocks his—and his beloved Mary’s—world...

Rhage and Mary's story was really good and heartfelt but there was just too much, way too much, going on with the other characters. I found myself getting frustrated and skipping whole pages at a time of long, unnecessary descriptions of what was going on in the peripheral stories. And I even skipped parts of Rhage and Mary's story when the descriptions made the story lag. There is a part in the book where we get detailed info about food Rhage makes for himself and it goes on for like three pages. No thanks

sorry I just could not get into this book. I thought it was about dragon shifters nit vampires. It may be about both for all I know. But after restarting it 3 times I quit. It just isn't geared to my interests .

So many reasons this wasn't my favorite. In fact it may have been my least favorite. Assail's story was the most interesting. It isn't much of a BDB book but more of a fairytale. I hope the next is better.
