It tells the story of Richard Shelton during the Wars of the Roses (14551487): how he becomes a knight, rescues his lady Joanna Sedley, and obtains justice for the murder of his father, Sir Harry Shelton.The ebook contains the beautiful illustrations of a 1916 edition.It also has a biographical profile of Stevenson written by English poet and critic Edmund Gosse (18491928) in 1911.

Publishing his first volume at the age of 28, Stevenson became a literary celebrity during his life when works such as Treasure Island, Kidnapped and Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde were released to eager audiences.
