I really enjoy Susan Mallery's books, especially the stand alone ones like this one. This is the story of 3 women brought together by a business venture and how they became friends, then family. Mikki is divorced and manages to stay friends with her ex. It's not a problem until she meets someone new and has to re think her relationship with her ex. I liked Mikki's journey and knowing most ex's can not be civil to each other, forget about helping re decorate! Ashley has been dating/living with Seth for a while, when she discovers he does not believe in marriage. He has nothing against a long term relationship, house, kids, but no to marriage. Personally I thought Seth was a jerk. Ashley also had to work through what she really wanted and could she settle for less? Bree came across as the strongest, but she actually was the most damaged. Her "parents" are the reason some people should not have children. I liked Bree but wonder why it took so long for her to realize she needed help? I liked this book and liked the relationships between the women and the ones surrounding them. What I didn't like was how quickly the book ended. If ever there was a need for a follow up chapter , this was it! Thanks to the author for the advanced copy for my own opinion

The perfect beach read for this summer. Three strangers who become friends while sharing the space for their businesses. A bookshop, a gift shop and a bakery, the perfect place for friendships to develop. Even though Bree, Ashley and Mikki are different ages they are all going through difficult times in their personal lives they can offer support to each other on their ritual Friday evening on the beach drinking their champagne. I loved the personal journey that all three of these ladies tak

There is much happening in this newest book by Susan Mallery. We meet three partners and by the end of the story, close friends, which is typical of this author. So much drama and angst, each of these main characters could have had their own book. This is a great read, with an abrupt ending, but still an excellent vacation read. A definite addition to your Summer TBR list.
