ARC for honest review with no compensation received by Ne Galley and LoveSwept. The Breakup is book 2 of the Jordan Brothers series and while a standalone you might want to also read the first book. Bella know as the "Princess" is getting ready for her wedding and finds out her groom is cheating on her but her mother tells her she should just overlook the cheating and go on with the wedding...Bella decides that she can't overlook it and leave him at the altar. She calls Christian to pick her up and now she must decide what she wants out of life.... Christian on the other hand has a reputation for sleeping around but there is something about Bella that speaks to him. When she calls he goes to pick her up and while sparks fly between them they both need to grow up and take responsible for their own lives before they can begin to maybe have a life together. Will these two figure out how to make that happen or will they just "breakup"??

The Breakup by Erin McCarthy is the second book in the Jordan Brothers series this is Bella and Christian’s story. Although I didn't read the first book in this series I was able to jump right into this book. I did enjoy this book so I am planing planning to go back and read the first book. So what happens when two completely different people, who are looking for anything but love, meet in the most unexpected and unusual way? Lots and lots of sparks and drama. Bella is the quintessential good girl, who just wants to get married and have babies. She is sweet, the ultimate people pleaser, always putting everyone else first. She grew up in a wealthy family with a domineering father who treated her like a princess. But she definitely has some self esteem issues. She considers her self the dumb sister. She thinks she has found the perfect man, smart, rich, handsome, and her parents totally approve of him. Boy was she wrong, she discovers, one week before the wedding, that he is cheating with more than one woman… In walk Christian Jordan, who is sex on a stick with a bad boy attitude to match, who gets just about any girl he goes after. He did not grow up with the proverbial silver spoon, in fact he grew up dirt poor with a father who is in prison. Christian is only interested in women that are totally unavailable and only looking for a good time. He has a no commitment motto. There were definitely some aspects about Christian that I didn’t care for, but you will have to judge for yourself. As the story progressed he did redeem himself with the love and devotion he showed toward his son and that did make me like his character more. I enjoyed the unique way that Bella and Christian’s relationship developed, their chemistry was definitely off the chart HOT! I did appreciate the author's maturation of the two main characters throughout the book. Bella started off as a bit of a doormat, but in the end she grew a backbone and did some of her own stomping. Christian did some growing up as well, seeing Bella as more than just a rich princess. Overall this book was well written with some good surprises, which always makes a book more interesting . I did however feel that the ending was a bit rushed. I would have liked if the author had given us a little more about how Bella and Christian worked out their issues. Overall this was a fun, breezy summer read. ***I kindly received an ARC of this book by way of NetGalley/publisher/author. I was not contacted, asked or required to leave a review in order to read this book. I received no compensation, financial or otherwise. This is my honest review.***

I honestly don't know what there was not to love about this book, the story was great, the characters were well developed and the plot had a nice flow to it. This is Sophie and Christian's story, Sophie is set to marry what she thinks is the man of dreams, he's rich and comes from a good family, but is that really enough when she finds out that he has been cheating on her for their entire relationship? In walks Christian to save Sophie from the confines of a loveless marriage. The sparks fly the minute that Sophie and Christian met on the night of her bachelorette party, and when they are finally together you will feel the connection that they share. What I loved most about this book series was that the stories were about the women of the book, most romance stories are all about the men, so for this author to make the women shine was just amazing.
