About this eBook

In Jane Feather’s dazzling, irresistible romance, London’s most charming matchmakers are faced with a ruinous lawsuit—and now Prudence, the brainy, beautiful middle sister, must save them.

Soon after the Duncan sisters’ personals service turns a profit, their controversial newspaper The Mayfair Lady offends a powerful earl—who is now determined to demolish them in court. In dire need of counsel, the women turn to England’s most sought after young barrister. Sir Gideon Malvern is notorious for his aggressive style—and his love of a challenge. Spirited Prudence, with her beauty unsuccessfully hidden behind spectacles and frumpy clothes, provides him with exactly that. But how in the world will the Duncan sisters be able to afford Gideon’s fee? Prudence proposes a barter: Gideon defends their case; they find him a bride. It’s an exchange of services even this most cynical single barrister cannot refuse.

I actually barrowed this book from the library and I enjoyed it not knowing that it was a 2nd in a trilogy. This book was fun and it was crazy at the same time. You have Constance, Prudence, and Chasity they are sisters and own a little magazine that their mother started when she was alive. But when Constance writes something, before she goes and get married, that depicts a very powerful man. The magazine gets into trouble. Prudence and Chasity gets a letter from a law office saying that the magazine is getting shut down. So they hire a very young barrister named Gideon Malvern. He and Prudence have war because they are both so strong headed and she won't let him over the wall that she has placed up to protect herself. Will that wall come down and will the magazine be saved?

I like the book. The reason for the 3 stars is that it seems rather unlikely that the love scenes are written by the same author.
