As of 2022, Google says that this book 'The Cat in the Hat' is 72 pages; well it's not. It's actually ~32 pages and the layout is in landscape (horizontal) mode showing 2 pages at a time. This version is strictly just the book itself (no extras). So, my take on the story itself... well, the Cat is a bit of an arrogant character. He just bursts through the door of a random house with no parents around and tells/shows the kids and fish what fun is supposed to be (kind of sus). Of course, this story was written in a format to force children to actually read the book and not recite it from memory, so I can give a slight pass on the odd storyline considering it was sort of a means to an end. I guess Dr. Seuss was trying to keep kids interested with fun visuals and by watching two kids go deeper into trouble that's out of their control (though the kids never speak up to the Cat, so they kind of let things happen). IDK, it's ok for what it is.
