The Cold Ride

I've just finished reading this book with tears in my eyes. Just awesome. Rory and James missed their moment. Then when fate brings them back together misunderstandings and simmering anger threaten to keep them apart. Rory is a hard working and fiercely protective of her daughter, Amelia. Whilst she loved her ex husband, Evan she was only ever in love with one man, and that was James. Having lost him she focused completely on raising their daughter. James thought he'd met the one woman meant for him only to find that she was his brother in arms wife. He shut his heart off and focused on being a Navy SEAL. When Evan's final request forces a meeting between these two there is a lot of hurt, anger and mistrust to work through. A truly beautiful love story that will grip from the very start and hold you tight until the end. This is the first book by this author that I've read but it absolutely will not be the last. Love and lust are all well and good till chaos rears its ugly head, which it does nine times out of ten! It's difficult to write a heart felt review without giving away key points to the story, but I can say there is something to cherish about second chances. This Seals on Wheels series has a lot of heart and feels, but it's good storytelling, and I think worth the emotional upheaval it may cause a reader.
