About this eBook

She’s moved home, but can she move on?

One night with professional bull rider Trent Campbell had been everything that Kelly Sullivan had fantasized about. Unfortunately, it cost her everything. When she became pregnant, her father threw her out because she wouldn’t tell him the baby's father was his rodeo hero—the hero who ghosted her when she tried so many times to tell him about their daughter.

Trent Campbell never forgot the best night of his life. It was what kept him going when a 2,000-lbs bull ended his career and almost his life. Throughout his long recovery, thinking of Kelly and wishing he still had his stolen phone so he could contact her, were what got him through the tough days—that, and his bull-headed stubbornness that he’d not only walk again, he’d ride.

When Kelly returns to Last Stand, Texas, in a last-ditch effort to keep her family from selling the Three Sisters Ranch, she has a plan to make her father proud of her again by turning part of the land into a destination wedding location. Her father, however, has already temporary leased Trent some land for a rodeo school. Kelly and Trent still have the same explosive chemistry, but now the stakes are higher. If she lets Trent into her life, it won’t only be her heart he breaks this time if he leaves, it will be their daughter’s.

Heartwarming second-chance cowboy romance! Kelly is drawn back home from New York when her family's ranch is facing financial ruin. Determined to help wherever she can, she's equally determined to avoid the entire subject of her daughter's father, a renown and retired bull-rider who has avoided her calls since their one-night-stand nearly six years earlier. Trent is still finding his footing after the ride that ended his career nearly ended his life as well. He wants to start a bull-riding school on a local ranch, not knowing even a hint that he's already very connected to that ranch and its family. This secret/unknown baby story rises above the usual with complex storytelling, well-developed characters, and an honest approach to the difficulties inherent in the characters' histories. It's instantly captivating, full of surprises, building a fictional environment that is as fresh and inviting as it is warm and familiar. It's an outstanding start to a new series, and I highly recommend it. My only complaint is not with the writing itself, but with having to once again ignore a cover in order to escape into a book. Alissa is referred to as blonde at least three different times, despite the very obvious brunette child on the cover. It can't be that hard to get it right. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

First off, I'm in love with this cover. It just drew me right in. A second chance romance. Kelly, single mom has returned home to Three Sister Ranch with her five year old daughter, Alissa. Kelly was never able to get in touch with Alissa's dad, professional bull rider, Trent. Little does Kelly know that her dad has leased some of his property to Trent. Now all Trent wants to do is make things right and become a dad to Alissa. Loved this book, great story line that kept my interest through out the book. The chemistry between Kelly and Trent is hot. Once I started this story I could not put down. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
