Laurie LeClair has been a favorite of mine from the time I fell into her Once Upon a Romance Series. Her stories are sweeter than any greeting card, smoother than silk and as addictive as a chocolate cake. The Cowboy's Rebellious Bride highlights the best of Ms. Leclair. She simplifies what humanity tends to complicate. To understand what love is, we have to first find it within ourselves. That message shines brightly with every character she writes. Her tales open up the heart and that is what I love most about them.

The Cowboy's Rebellious Bride (The McCall Brothers Book 1) by Laurie Le Clair This is Hannah Prescott and Cody McCall's story. Hannah and Cody have been best friends for years. They each have their own issues that they are working through. Due to a situation they end up in a fake engagement. Now, you will have to read it to find out. During their fake engagement they start crossing the friendship line. Will their fake engagement change from fake to real? If you enjoy a sweet romance, then you will enjoy their story. The Cowboy’s Rebellious Bride by Laurie LeClaire, the first book in her McCall Brothers series is a sweet story about love, friendship, family and trust. We have two best friends suddenly finding themselves in a fake engagement. These two are not only best friends but also the life of the party and the couple all of their friends wanted to be. Neither is sure that this is what they want or that it is the solution to the problems in their lives. There are so many people that could be hurt if they don’t go through with the marriage, but could Hannah come to terms with marrying Cody. Ms. LeClaire did a nice job handling Hannah’s fear of falling in love and getting married after witnessing the disaster of her parent’s marriage. She swore she would never marry as those memories could never be erased. Cody had so much more on his plate. There was getting his Gramps to want to live after losing Grams. Then there was the saving of the McCall ranch after being mortgaged to pay for Grams’ medical bills. Cody also needed to keep reassuring Hannah that she wasn’t her mom, that she was much, much stronger. I enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in one day. I do recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
