About this eBook

Airk Azdajah, the rightful King of the White Clan of dragon shifters, spent half a millennium being tortured by the false High King Pytheios. The only reason he’s alive is a curse: the man who kills Airk will be consumed in his own fire. So Airk was kept alive—barely—and unable to shift in his prison cage, driving the creature half of him into madness. Airk escaped, but he'll never be truly free. Because what good is a king who can never let his feral dragon loose, never fly, and never lead his people?

Angelika Amon is the last unmated phoenix. The problem? She has no powers. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Angelika hates being dormant, especially now that her three sisters are blissfully mated to powerful dragon shifter kings and are very much part of the fight to take down the rotting king Pytheios. What good is a completely powerless phoenix in a battle to save the dragon kingdom?

Desperate to find some way to help, she offers herself to Airk as a mate—just for political leverage. Now a dormant phoenix is mated to a dragon who can't shift. But the balance of power is about to change when Pytheios decides to claim Angelika for himself...

Each book in the Inferno Rising series is STANDALONE:

Angelika is the final quadruplet to get her story. But unlike her sisters, Angelika has no powers of her own. She appears to be completely human but that won't stop her from taking on Pytheios. Airk has only recently been rescued from centuries of torture. He is fearful of his dragon, he has never really been able to let him out and he is terrified he won't be able to tell friend from foe and just scythe his way through all who are near him. He wants to do his bit to help turn the White Clan to the side of the allied kings but will they listen to the dragon who doesn't trust himself? Even when Angelika ally's herself to his mission, can the powerless phoenix and the non-shifting dragon really make an impact? Gaaaaaah the end of another great series. I enjoyed Angelika and Airk's story so much. They both think they are broken and powerless when they both actually have a well of strength they can tap into. Together they can, and do, take on all enemies. My heart broke a little when we met the "hellhounds" who came to help in the final showdown and the twist to how there are 4 phoenixes - superb! Let me just say this series has become one of my favorites ever. And this book is so good I wish I could give it more stars. The world building of this series is amazing and I felt like I could see it all. I believe she saved the best for last. The romance, the suspense, the action, the love leaping out of the pages is just amazing. I wish I had the words to described how it made me feel. I kept finding myself gasping and covering my mouth with my hands as I was feeling so many emotions as I read this book. Read this series, you will not regret it. Well done Abigail Owen.
