I liked the ideas given in the book and it seems like it has worked for alot of people but I read it twice and felt ready to quit, made it one day and smoked again. He gave good tips on how to think of the addiction but the whole book basically repeated "follow my instructions" until it gets to the last page of about 3 instructions we've all heard before. no tips on how to overcome any cravings which I did have, despite the neverending promises throughout that it will be easy and enjoyable and have no withdrawel. he explains that he actually stopped after being hypnotized but advertises it as he quit so anyone can with HIS method, but he didnt even use HIS method. id say try it if someone has a book you can borrow but i wouldnt waste money buying it. just call a quitline for free and hear the same stuff from their counselors

I have attempted to quit smoking numerous times in the past, failing each time. I have also tried just about every smoking cessation aid out there over the years. Even though you're supposed to read this book before quitting, I didn't actually find out about it until I was in my second week of quitting and just about to give up. Well better late than never. I've been smoke free for over 4 months now, and still going strong :)

This book does everything it claims to do! If you want to quit smoking read this book before you spend time and money suffering through a different method that probably won't work! I smoked for 18 years and quit in one day with no withdrawal thanks to the genius of Allen Carr. Sounds too good to be true but this is the real deal. EDIT: I have been quit now for 7 years thanks to this book, smoked my last cigarette the day I finished reading it and haven't felt the need for one since. Allen Carr really does change the way you think about smoking, which you will learn is the REAL issue.
