Emmitt Smith resides in Pensacola, Florida, where he owns and operates a sports trading card and memorabilia store. He lives in Irving, Texas, during the regular season. He is the president of Emmitt Smith Charities, an organization that promotes and aids programs that foster the development of children. 

Steve Delsohn is the author of the bestselling Out of Bounds with Jim Brown, and John Wayne, My Father with Aissa Wayne. He lives in Newbury Park, California.
