The Family

The perception of life changes, but never its base and its calendar. All those familiar with the Italy and Europe, and especially Venice, you'll love the book THE FAMILY by Mario Puzo. I read it on the recommendation of Alain Crevier Radio-Canada (journalist for religious programs). This is the story of the life of Pope Alexander VI (Rodrigo Borgia 1496). According to Crevier, who knows very well the Vatican, this book is the best he read about the papal environment. He was speaking following revelations on recent treason in the entourage of Pope. Conclusion of this book: life is a cycle and, except the specific elements of time (past or present), nothing changes in live that we are either in 1400 or 2012, except the perception, by age that one has reached in his life. Reading this book, you can even understand the moderns politicians (Jean Charest and friends) ... It even the sexual escapades by Dominique Strauss Khan and the vicious murders like Dr. Guy Turcotte or the butcher Magnola NDG. There are of course several weddings and marriages. As they say: "... with time perception changes ...." and this is the only thing that changes in life, physically or intellectually! Good reading ...
