I really liked this book for the realistic depiction of how love really is for most of us - messy, dysfunctional, imperfect, but glorious all the same. The writing is excellent and kept me flipping through page after page(I read the whole book in one day). I've since bought the next one, then the full series. I'm NOT a small-town girl, but I've lived in a few of them and can you see (some of) the attraction. I even married someone whose father was a small-town pastor in a town that's too small to see unless you zoom in Google Earth ALL the way. REGARDING ANOTHER REVIEW HERE: I believe in God and am Caucasian, like I assume you are from your arrogant 'white-privilege' stance. But I'm sorry that you felt the need to punish this book with your dogmatic, arrogant views, ignoring the realities of life so you can feel safe in your fantasy cuccoon. One day I hope you wake up?
