About this eBook

Just like there are two sides to every coin, there are two sides to every power.

Garth's power is both his darkest despair and his greatest joy.

No outsider could ever understand the magical currents that flow through him. He's the one person who is closest to the Carnival's magic - which means he feels everything that its people feel - every small sorrow, every bitter regret, every moment of joy - all filtered through his mind.

It would drive a lesser man insane.

So when he meets Dr. Madelaine Annandale, he's not interested in her as a person. He doesn't enjoy her warm smile or the crinkles at the corners of her eyes.

He's only interested in her resourceful brain and her cutting-edge research. If she's able to solve his ward's amnesia like she says she can, he'll be forever in her debt.

But when the Carnival's enemies catch up with them, there's only one person Garth can turn to.

Will Madelaine figure out the clues he's left behind, or is he doomed to die before his time?

Buy now to go on a journey with Garth and the rest of the Dark Carnival crew and experience the magic, adventure and excitement of their world..

About the author

Trudi Jaye writes urban fantasy and young adult fiction. Her Dragon Rising series is set in an alternate world where dragon shifters are real...and about to come back from extinction. Her Demon Hunter In Hiding series is set in the same world, and features a super-smart inventor who learns she has the power to control demons... just in time to try and stop a demon plague.

She lives in New Zealand, on a rural property surrounded by horses (not her own) with her lovely husband and cheeky young daughter. Trudi enjoys yoga, although she's not very bendy, and karate, although she doesn't like the idea of hitting anyone.
