The Good Shepherd tends and cares for his livestock. He watches and guards them against predators and thieves, but when a three-year famine destroys the land and most of his herd, he is forced to depend completely on the Father for protection and guidance. After many years in the wilderness, the shepherd, now a wealthy wool trader, returns to the promised land of his youth only to have an encounter with the true shepherd of the whole earth.
