JP Wagner was both a sci-fi/fantasy writer and journalist. While Jim's editorials and informative articles could be found in publications such as the Western Producer and the Saskatoon Star Phoenix, he made his debut as a novelist with the flint-lock fantasy, Railway Rising which was originally through Edge Publications in 2015. His young adult fantasy, The Search for the Unicorns was then published by his daughter Beth Wagner in 2018. This was followed by The Talisman of the Winds published in 2020. His most recent novel is Stonecaller which was published in 2021.
A self-proclaimed curmudgeon but known to his family as a merry jokester, his words have brightened many lives.
