Autoren-Profil
Sergio “Alan D.” Altieri, classe 1952, laurea in Ingegneria meccanica al Politecnico di Milano, è autore, traduttore, sceneggiatore e editor. Esordisce nel 1981 con Città oscura (Dall’Oglio), vasto thriller d'azione, a cui farà seguito Città di ombre (Dall’Oglio, 1992). Trasferitosi negli Stati Uniti, dal 1983 al 1987 collabora con il produttore Dino De Laurentiis quale story editor e production executive. Dal 1987 al 1997 è sceneggiatore professionista a Los Angeles. Tra i suoi “credit”, il thriller Silent Trigger (1995), diretto da Russell Mulchay, e Uno Bianca (1996), miniserie tv diretta da Michele Soavi. Tra il 2005 e il 2007 pubblica la Trilogia di Magdeburg (Corbaccio), consistente affresco storico ambientato nella guerra dei Trent’anni. Dal 2006 al 2011, è direttore editoriale di “Mondadori Category”, tra cui le testate il Giallo Mondadori, Segretissimo, Urania. Ha tradotto, tra gli altri, Jack Kerouac, Andy McNab, Iris Chang, Brian Herbert & Kevin Anderson, Donovan Webster, Peter Blauner. Per Arnoldo Mondadori Editore è traduttore della saga fantasy Le cronache del ghiaccio e del fuoco di George R.R. Martin. Per i “Meridiani” Mondadori ha tradotto i romanzi di Dashiell Hammett e i racconti di Raymond Chandler. Per Feltrinelli ha tradotto Vento rosso (2013) di Raymond Chandler e per “I Classici” ha tradotto e curato Il dominatore delle tenebre. Il meglio dei racconti (2012) di H. P. Lovecraft.
