Author and journalist Merle Thornton is researching a story on a rich man who purchased a pack of cards for a million dollars and then burned the pack in a church yard. Is it really a cursed pack or is the creator of the pack, Thomas Halyard murdering people to make it seem so? Merle must uncover the mystery as he may be the next victim of the curse.
