About this eBook

Now a movie starring Lucy Hale and Austin Stowell, USA Today bestselling author Sally Thorne’s hilarious and sexy workplace comedy all about that thin, fine line between hate and love.

Nemesis (n.) 1) An opponent or rival whom a person cannot best or overcome.

                     2) A person’s undoing

                     3) Joshua Templeman

Lucy Hutton and Joshua Templeman hate each other. Not dislike. Not begrudgingly tolerate. Hate. And they have no problem displaying their feelings through a series of ritualistic passive aggressive maneuvers as they sit across from each other, executive assistants to co-CEOs of a publishing company. Lucy can’t understand Joshua’s joyless, uptight, meticulous approach to his job. Joshua is clearly baffled by Lucy’s overly bright clothes, quirkiness, and Pollyanna attitude.

Now up for the same promotion, their battle of wills has come to a head and Lucy refuses to back down when their latest game could cost her her dream job…But the tension between Lucy and Joshua has also reached its boiling point, and Lucy is discovering that maybe she doesn’t hate Joshua. And maybe, he doesn’t hate her either. Or maybe this is just another game.

I think this book is just a hastily made version of Pride and Prejudice in an office setting. But neither with the appropriate chemistry or justification for a relationship. Sorry, Joshua Templeton kinda creeps me out. I should've expected this kind of shtick to happen in such a book that caters to the generic female fantasy. 2 out of 10 hats.

It's good. Im giving it 4 stars for good writing. It was funny, good chemistry, and easy flow. I would recommend it. Pretty good ending. The author had a good plot. I wish it had more "mystery" you could tell right away were it was going. Made it too predictable. I will keep a watch out for more of her books.

My friend suggested this book to me, so I'm going to pass that suggestion along to you. I could not put this book down and I'm usually very bad for reading the first few chapters and not getting back to it for months. The relationship between the two characters is so real- there were times I could relate to Lucy. I find myself rereading this just to get back into their universe.
