"This is gonna be so awesome!" Billy exclaimed as the group of teenagers pulled up to the dilapidated hotel on the outskirts of town. "My cousin told me all about this place- it's supposed to be mega haunted."

"Are you sure we should be doing this?" Ann asked nervously, pushing a strand of blonde hair behind her ear. "My mom is going to kill me if she finds out."

"Relax, we'll be fine," Jeff reassured her, throwing his arm around her shoulders. "What could go wrong?"

The sprawling hotel loomed ahead, its once-grand facade now crumbling and overtaken by weeds and vines. Broken windows gaped like empty eye sockets and the faded sign out front read "Ravencrest Hotel" in faded letters.

"This place gives me the creeps," Lori murmured, hugging her arms around herself.

"Are you sure your cousin wasn't just messing with you, Billy?"

"Of course he wasn't!" Billy scoffed. "He said loads of people have seen ghosts and heard weird noises coming from inside. There are even rumors that a cult practiced dark rituals here back in the 70s."

Mike let out a low whistle. "A cult, huh? Sign me up, this is gonna be killer!"
