When Ruth, with a love of flying that leads her to become an Auxiliary Pilot during WWII in England, meets Canadian navigator, Bill, on a fog-bound country airstrip, they know it's something special. But Jane also has their daughter, Megan, in her thoughts. Megan is hiking on the west coast of Canada and falling in love as assuredly as she approaches life. But she doesn't yet know she's lost her beloved grandmother.

O autorovi
Wendy Orr grew up in Canada, France and the US. She went to the UK for a holiday but stayed to study occupational therapy, and met her Australian farmer husband in a youth hostel in Wales. In 1991 Wendy had a serious car accident that changed the focus of her life and formed the basis of her teenage novel Peeling the Onion. The House at Evelyn's Pond is her first adult novel.
