About this ebook

Don't hide, and never run.

I was fine existing on copious amounts of chocolate. But, thanks to Fenris’s less than helpful intervention, Mom’s building a nightclub named “Man-beef Buffet.” My hell is only beginning.

Hounded by the Academy's guidance counselor, smothered by her mother, and harassed by a perverted brownie, Eliana’s patience for well-meaning help is thinning. She has more important matters on her plate. Like, dealing with the repercussions of a backfired spell while avoiding the local, hot werewolf.

When something starts stalking her, Eliana decides she’d done playing by everyone else’s rules. She might be afraid to feed, but she’s far from weak. The beast pursuing her will soon feel what it’s like when the hunter becomes the hunted.

Warning: Contains a starving succubus with violent reactions to sex toys, a loving mom who supports nudism, and a brownie with fertility issues. Recommended for mature teen readers and up.

This was one of my most anticipated reads of 2021 and it did not disappoint. I will try not to spend my entire review proclaiming the many reasons I adore Fenris. Just know there is a list. *Hides scroll behind back* My love for Eliana and Fenris grew stronger with each page and chapter they spent together. I appreciated how he always respected her feelings, but was not afraid to give her a little push now and then. His faith and support in her was one of my favorite parts of the book. Along with his penchant for teasing her. I found myself goofily smiling at most of their interactions. If only I could find a werewolf boyfriend. (I will always be down to give you a hug, Fenris. Say the word!) Melissa has such a great way of making you feel Eliana’s frustration. That hopelessness and loneliness of pushing people away to protect everyone around you. All the while, putting your own happiness and true nature on the back burner. She’s so much stronger than she gives herself credit for, and I admire her selflessness. Lastly, Piepen. Oh....Piepen. Let’s just say Eliana once again has more patience than I ever could have with you Now, I leave you with one of my favorite Fenris quotes: “You will never lose me, Eliana. No matter what you say…no matter what you do…I will always be here for you.” Go forth, and read, my children! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

What a gem of a book! It is no secret that I have been in love with Melissa's writing basically from the beginning of her career, but she honestly manages to blow me away every single time. The Hunt was no exception. In my opinion, the second book of a series is generally slow and a little painful to get through, but the Hunt had me giggling so much that my boyfriend started giving me weird looks. I loved watching how Eliana is growing into herself and who she is as both a succubus, and as a woman, and character development is never lacking. That being said, buyer beware! Melissa always leaves you desperate for more! Hopefully the next instalment wont take TOO long, but in the mean time I'm just going to reread Of Fates and Furies to get more of these amazing characters <3 I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Another amazing book by Melissa Haag. “The Hunt” is outstanding and draws you into the story. Author, Melissa Haag does an amazing job with her writing. She is one of those authors where you are suck into the story as if you are the main character. The dynamic between Eliana and Fenris is off the charts. Throughout the story, you as the reader really gain insight on both characters, Eliana and Fenris. Supporting characters are hilarious, supportive, trouble making, and overall add so much to the story. I really enjoyed this story and I’m so excited for book three.
