The Immortal Vow

Suzume lost friends and gained new powers. Each passing day, she feels more of her soul being eroded away. Her battle against Hisato is racing towards its inevitable conclusion. The only thing holding her back from facing him is knowing she cannot defeat him without destroying herself and the other soul fragments. Then Kazue invades her dreams, leaving cryptic hints to a solution for her problems. Kazue has tricked her before, can she trust her?

Kaito spent fruitless months trying to win allies, while his enemies only grew more powerful. While Hisato’s army swells, Kaito’s is on the verge of revolt. When Suzume suggests a new plan, he’s eager to move on, and recruit the weaker yokai to his side. Everything is going well, until they revisit sites that remind him of Kazue and her betrayal. He’ll need to confront his demons if he doesn’t hope of history repeating itself.

Even if they defeat the opposition and unite the island of Akatsuki, Hisato remains. Suzume and the fragments of Kazue’s soul are the only ones who can defeat him. Unraveling Kazue’s clues might give them the answer, but is it one Suzume will accept? If saving the world means Suzume must die, would she rather die a hero or die a coward at Hisato’s hands?
