Sight is a privilege denied to everyone by law in the land of Parinara. Every child is blindfolded at birth. Even the dead are buried blindfolded. To see is an unpardonable crime, punishable by death.

Anitha Krishnan is a speculative fiction author and an award- winning poet. Her fantasy novel, Dying Wishes, was a finalist for the 2023 Rakuten Kobo Emerging Writer Prize in the Speculative Fiction category.
