The final triumphs feel a little generic and easy, with some moments not fully explained, but this might be due to the shattered manner in which I read the final four books. A re-reading through all might make a smoother experience. Still fantastic books, despite the heavier American cultural references.

I've always loved the Thomas Convant novels and consider the second series one of the best series ever written, while these last books have dragged along in places, The Last Dark really ended the whole series well. Though not without a few flaws and a few unanswered questions, I still really enjoyed the book and will be a little saddened that we'll be leaving the 'Land'

A grand way to complete the paradox of Lord Foul.
