First-century Rome is a perilous city as Nero stalks the political circles and huddled groups of believers. To be safe, Christians must remain invisible.
Gallus Sergius Vitas is the only man within Nero’s trusted circle willing to do what it takes to keep the empire together. He struggles to lessen Nero’s monstrosities against the people of Rome—especially the Christians. But as three Greek letters are scrawled as graffiti throughout the city, Nero’s anger grows.
As the early church begins to experience the turbulence Christ prophesied as the beginning of the last days, an enemy seeks to find John’s letter, Revelation, and destroy it. Meanwhile the early Christians must decipher it and cling to the hope it provides as they face the greatest of all persecutions.

Hank Hanegraaff has been president of the California-based Christian Research Institute. He also worked as the host of the Bible Answer Man radio broadcast, which can be heard six days a week throughout the United States and Canada. With an audience of more than 120 million people, Hanegraaff urges his listeners to "contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints." Hanegraaff is the author of such books as Personal Witness Training: Your Handle on the Great Commission; Counterfeit Revival: Unmasking the Truth Behind the Worldwide Counterfeit Revival; and Memory Dynamics: Your Untapped Resource for Spiritual Growth. As the general editor in the updating of Dr. Walter Martin's classic The Kingdom of the Cults, Hanegraaff presented detailed ways to protect worried parties and their loved ones from cults. Also a regular contributor to the Christian Research Journal, Hanegraaff conducts seminars and lectures worldwide.
Sigmund Brouwer, Sigmund Brouwer was born in Central Alberta to Dutch immigrant parents. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan and an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Carleton University. He published many articles in American and Canadian magazines before he got his big break as a novelist. The first book he published was entitled, "Accidental Detectives," aimed at youth fiction. He is best known for his adult fiction novel, "Double Helix," published in 1995. Brouwer teaches writing courses at Red Deer College and is on the Board of Directors of the Red Deer College Press. Brouwer also played semi-pro hockey as well as a stint as the editor for National Raquetball Magazine. He has taught mystery writing seminars and in 1993, co-founded The Young Writer's Institute to encourage today's youth to follow their dreams of a career in writing. Brouwer has won the Alberta Film and Literary Arts Writing Grant twice.
