Following in her mother and aunt's footsteps from the Pike series, Max takes her turn at matchmaking, or meddling as everyone else dubs it. Max uses a party in the loft to bring two people, Tracy and Alice, together who have been admiring each other from afar.
But she's continually distracted in a way she's never experienced before, when a punk rock princess, cosplaying as an elf from her favorite book series steps unexpectedly into her life, making Maxine question everything she ever thought she knew about her own life.
(The Loft series is set in the same world as Music of the Soul, London Harmony, Flotilla, Unleashed, and the Pike and can be read as a standalone book.)
