A unique apocalyptic series start up. Decently written with a twisting plot. I was sucked in immediately, and couldn't put it down. Now I have to read the others, lol. Need to find out what happens.

Where do I start? This book was amazing it had about everything, it had drama, suspense, murder, action, & a love triangle to top it all off. This is by far one of the greatest books I have ever read. I mean one second david saves a girl the next he's about to get hanged then later loses an eye and people just start getting mutilated in really messed up deaths. Must read!!!!!

this is about all the books I would just like to say first. I read the first 3 books back in high school and thought they were phenomenal. well I decided to get back into reading again and started with this series first, and come to find out there's a 4th book now too?!? just fantastic, reading this series is like traveling right along with everyone in McKinley. honestly if you're just considering starting a new series this is a great beginning book.
