About this eBook

‘The Malice was entertaining and riveting, with almost never a dull moment. ... Do yourself a favour, buy this book. And the first one, too, if you don’t already own it. You will regret nothing.’ – Geeks of Doom

In the south, the Breach stirs.

Gamma’s sword, the Malice, wakes, calling to be taken to battle once more.

But the Vagrant has found a home now, made a life and so he turns his back, ignoring its call.

The sword cries out, frustrated, until another answers.

Her name is Vesper.

There's a few things I couldn't get on with. But the main thing is the Goat.. It bored me in the first book and bringing another into this one was a poor choice... I genuinely felt the author spent more time writing about the goat than anything else.. It felt like it's an inside joke between the author and he family/friends and it really annoyed me when I'm trying to follow the story and I keep getting side tracked by what the goat is upto... The names of all the characters especially the ones with "The" before them is really irratating..

I wondered how the author would pull off a second book, as the first book (the vagrant) was so well done, but it was obvious that he'd put a lot of thought into vespers character and journey. whilst it didn't have the same impact as the first one it was great to read the back story of some of the more ambiguous aspects of the first installment. I'm really looking forward to the next book as the vagrant was a rare find.

Somehow better than the first, but in a different way. Where the first created a desperate, cruel and interesting world, with a blank slate of a protaginist for the reader to explore it within. The second revisits it with an established and voiced character. Couldn't put it down, can't wait for more.
